A Day in the Life of an HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician position will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to demonstrate technical competency and ensure desired sales metrics. Our HVAC Technician is able to leave from their home to go to their first appointment with a new model company truck provided. They will diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions by establishing customer rapport to sell the right products and services. HVAC Technicians ask the right lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions. In addition, they'll educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans. HVAC Technicians explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems. They'll understand their sales criteria and hold themselves accountable for exceeding revenue goals and show themselves as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business. HVAC Technicians maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck and participate actively in all training and ongoing education. They'll need to be accurate and timely with invoices and time cards.

What you Need to be Qualified for the HVAC Technician Position

In order to be qualified for the HVAC Technician position, a minimum of three years' experience including hands-on training and/or work is required as well as being licensed with knowledge of local HVAC codes and the ability to make on-the-job applications. Universal EPA certification, NATE certification a plus. A proven track record in heating and cooling systems is required including the ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints and other diagrams. A clean, safe driving record and a valid Driver's License is required for our HVAC Technicians. Will need own hand tools, cordless tools, gauges, etc. Our HVAC Technicians need to be highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Their passion about the HVAC industry and high integrity with advanced social skills will help in their ability to make solid connections and repeat business. A strong desire to be a better Technician tomorrow than you are today with an outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment is imperative. Our HVAC Technician needs to be a competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team.

Benefits for the HVAC Technician Position
